Our Facilities
![]() | Our kennel was designed with the dogs in mind every step of the way. The wooden face (in keeping with the style of the countryside) hides the block construction of the kennel. The front door leads directly into the spacious main office where you will be able to visit our dogs and puppies. |

Each dog has its own indoor/outdoor dog run which opens up into a large fenced play area where the dogs can interact while they play or swim. We spend a lot of time outside with the dogs ourselves, which is why it can be hard to reach us by phone. So if you call and we don't answer, please leave a message. |

![]() | The spacious kennel has ceiling fans throughout to provide good air circulation, and thermostatically controlled exhaust fans to keep the kennel from becoming too warm. |
Each dog run has a kennel deck, which keeps the dog off the concrete floor by providing a dry, comfortable "bed" that promotes good airflow for cooling in the summer, and warming in the winter. |

![]() | The kennel is heated in the winter with a state-of-the-art coal stoker which provides a nice, even heat without having to use forced hot air through ducts that can harbor dust, bacteria, mold spores, or mildew. |
Our puppies are born and raised in climate controlled whelping rooms. We stay (and sleep) in the whelping room with the mother starting about 3 days before the due date, and remain there until after the litter is born and we can see that the mother is taking good care of them. |

![]() | The puppies stay in the whelping box with the mother until they are old enough to be weaned and are doing well eating soft food (usually at about 4 weeks old). |

The puppies are then moved to an indoor/outdoor run so they can watch the other dogs. Here they can go outside to go "potty." |

![]() | The inside of the run is covered in pine shavings for a soft bedding which helps to keep them dry in case of an "accident." In most cases, this is where the puppies stay until they go to their new homes. |

We hope you have enjoyed this look at our facilities. We put this page on our site because people often ask us for a tour of the kennel. We do not let people into the whelping rooms or dog run areas for the safety of our dogs and puppies. People can unknowingly carry diseases that can be spread to our dogs and puppies; and their well-being is our first priority. We also do not show puppies until they are 6 weeks old and have had their vet check-up and first set of shots for the same reason. If you still want to see the kennel, we have windows inside that you can look through.
